Your winter body care guide

It's that time of the year, when your skin turns dry and lifeless! Whether it's your lips, face, hair or feet, it is important you keep all parts of your body moisturised.

For your lips:During winters, avoid licking your lips. If you do so, it will chap your lips even more and leave them dry. Always carry a lip balm in your purse and apply when you feel the need.

For your skin: If you want soft, smooth skin in this season, use a good moisturiser or cream, which is rich in Vitamin A and E, that will keep it soft and healthy. You can also go for an oil body massage to nourish your skin. Also, to protect your skin from winter sunburn, always apply a sunscreen with an SPF, 15 minutes before going out, in order to allow the skin to absorb it. Most importantly, it is vital to keep your skin hydrated, even during winters. Drink lots of water and always carry a bottle of water wherever you go. Avoid beverages like tea and coffee; instead go for green tea or warm water.

For your hair care: Heat coconut or almond oil and apply it from the roots to the length of your hair. After a mild head massage, wrap a hot towel and leave it on for some time. This helps the oil to get absorbed in the roots and will provide strength to your hair.

For your hands: Mix honey with crushed almonds and massage it on your hands for five minutes. This is an easy way to get soft and glowing skin!

If you suffer from cracked heels: Soak your feet in warm water every night for 15 minutes. Apply apricot cream or petroleum jelly around the heels. Keep this on for the whole night. You can even wear cotton socks to keep your feet supple.
